Eclipse Financial $1000 RRSP or TFSA Contest

(The “Contest”)

 

THE CONTEST IS OPEN TO RESIDENTS OF CANADA (AGE OF MAJORITY) AND IS GOVERNED BY CANADIAN LAW.
 
  1. CONTEST PERIOD
    The Contest begins at 12:00 p.m. EST time on February 10, 2025 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST time on February 27, 2025 (the “Contest Period”). The draw will be made on the date set out in Section 5.
 
  1. ELIGIBILITY
    The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province/territory of residence at the time of entry, except employees of Eclipse Financial (“Sponsor”) and for Eclipse Financial employees with RSP plans.

    Those described above are referred to as “Eligible Contestants”.
 
  1. ENTRY
    There are two methods of entry: No purchase entry and RRSP/TFSA transaction entry.3.1 No Purchase Entry (Step 1)

    To enter Step 1 of the contest, you must like our page, tag 3 friends, and share this post.  No purchase is necessary.

    RRSP or TFSA Transaction Entry (Step 2)
    Eligible Contestants (each, an “RRSP or TFSA Entrant”) who: (i) own a Registered Retirement Savings Plan or Tax-Free Savings Account policy (“RRSP or TFSA”) issued by the Sponsor and has contributed to either RRSP or TFSA account by February 27th at 5:00 p.m.  EST.  Existing clients who have contributed to their TFSA in the last 12 months and/or their RRSPs for the 2024 tax year will be automatically entered into the draw.
 
  1. MONETARY PRIZE
    One prize will be awarded
  • Completion of Step 1 only: One prize in the amount of $500 will be awarded to an eligible contestant who completes only Step 1 of the entry. Or,
  • Completion of both Step 1 and Step 2: One prize in the amount of $1000 ($500 Step 1 + $500 Step 2) will be deposited into a Retirement Savings Plan or Tax-Free Savings Account policy (“RRSP or TFSA”) issued by the Sponsor to the eligible contestant who has completed Step 1 and Step 2.
 
  1. RANDOM DRAW AND SELECTION OF ELIGIBLE WINNER:
    One eligible winner will be selected by random draw in Timmins, Ontario, at approximately 10:00 a.m. EST on February 28, 2025.
 
  1. WINNER NOTIFICATION PROCESS
    The Sponsor will announce the eligible winners on Facebook following the draw after 10:00 a.m. EST on February 28, 2025. The sponsor will also attempt to message the eligible winners via the platform to contact them. If the eligible winner is a current client, the sponsor will attempt to contact them via email or telephone. If an Eligible Winner does not respond to the Sponsor prior to April 18, 2025, the Prize associated with that eligible winner will expire, and no prize will be issued for the contest.
 
  1. DELIVERY OF THE PRIZE
    The Prize shall be delivered to the Prize Winner in the following manner unless otherwise determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion:
  • if the Prize Winner is a cash value from Step 1 of the contest. The eligible winner will be paid by cheque.
  • If the Prize Winner is an RRSP or TFSA Entrant from Step 2 of the contest, the Prize shall be deposited into the Prize Winner’s RRSP or TFSA policy.
 
  1. GENERAL CONDITIONS
    Over-contribution charges are not the responsibility of the Sponsor. If the eligible winner has maxed out their contribution allowance for the year, the Prize can be allocated to the 2025 (RRSP) or 2026 (TFSA) contributions.

    All Entries become the property of the Sponsor. The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, delayed, incomplete, incompatible or misdirected entries. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. The decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without the right of appeal, including, without limitation, any decisions regarding the eligibility/disqualification of Entries and/or entrants.

    The Sponsor will not be liable for any technical failure during the Contest Period; for any technical malfunction or other problems relating to the telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; or for the failure of any Eligible Contestant registration or application submission to be received by the Sponsor for any reason including, but not limited to, mail delivery issues, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet, or at any website; or any combination of the above. Further, the Sponsor will not be liable for any injury or damage to an entrant’s, Eligible Contestant’s, or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating, registering or downloading any material in the Contest.
